Mama and Sly, ready to roll!
Chubby Tummies was born from the hours I spend looking for new ideas for healthy meals and snacks for my toddler. My approach includes all types of foods: organic and conventional, fresh and frozen, all-natural and convenience foods, and quick & easy recipes alongside some that are more labor-intensive. Overall, anything that’s tasty and appeals to my daughter — if I’m lucky!
I breastfed my daughter, Sly (not her real name, honest!) for 15 months and she was a tubby little baby, but since becoming mobile, she’s had a harder time gaining weight. My pediatrician recommended a high-calorie diet in hope that Sly would start following a growth curve, and I make many of her foods using varying levels of optional fats and extra calories.
Since the variety of feeding accessories — types of bottles, sippy cups, utensils, snack holders, etc. — seems just about endless sometimes, I’ll also weigh in on our experiences of what works. I have a strong preference for bisphenol-A-free items.
